Faculty Advisory Committee

Background:

The IAEE Faculty Committee will work with and advise the professional staff on increasing engagement with faculty and students in higher education institutions including colleges, universities, technical schools, etc. Additionally, the committee will maintain the Helen Brett Scholarship program.

Strategy:

IAEE has outlined a number of products, services and offerings that will engage faculty members at the higher educational level and their students. By creating volunteer engagement opportunities for faculty on the international level along with the creation of custom turn-key content that can be immediately adopted and implemented within their current curriculum; IAEE will establish themselves as the primary resource provider of content to higher education institutions in the exhibition industry. The Art of the Show textbook combined with CEIR research will serve as the body of knowledge for the base of all programming for these groups. Collaborating with faculty and their schools can assist IAEE in carrying unified messages to their students about the overall industry, jobs available and the importance of joining IAEE and continuing their learning process throughout their career. This will only enhance the industry as a profession by providing IAEE company members with a stream of qualified student graduates with immediate industry knowledge and skills.

Goals and Objectives:

The overall objectives include growing membership in the faculty and student categories by providing tools and products that will support our industry by being seen as one of choice for future students.

  • Increase the IAEE student population.
