Offers Letter Template for Exhibition Organizer Communications to Exhibitors
The International Association of Exhibitions and Events® (IAEE) is encouraging exhibition organizers to take immediate action in communicating with exhibitors at their upcoming events regarding the recent dockworkers strike organized by the International Longshoremen’s Association (ILA).
Although a tentative labor agreement has been reached between the ILA and the United States Maritime Alliance (USMX) halting the strike until January 2025, there is no guarantee exhibitions will not be affected by a potential shipping disruption in the near future. Working with the Exhibitions and Conferences Alliance (ECA), IAEE is providing a letter template that organizers can send to their exhibitors explaining the circumstances and recommending they ship their show materials by the end of 2024 for all shows occurring in Q1 2025.
“We highly recommend organizers use this resource to inform and empower their exhibitors,” said IAEE President & CEO Marsha Flanagan, M.Ed., CEM.
The letter template is available for download here. IAEE’s advocacy work stands as a cornerstone of its commitment to delivering member value. Learn more about IAEE’s advocacy initiatives, including its work with ECA, here.
